This is a 45 hour intensive training course that covers the essentials of photovoltaic technology and includes substantial hands-on time. Both grid-direct and battery based systems will be covered. The goal of the course is to create a fundamental understanding of the core concepts necessary to work with all PV systems, including: basic electrical theory, system components, site analysis, PV module criteria, mounting solutions, safety, and commissioning. The course will also cover the basics of sizing a residential grid-direct system, wire sizing, overcurrent protection, and grounding. (45 hours) This course is designed to meet the learning objectives for the NABCEP Entry Level Exam. CONS 813 01 Saturday & Sunday, 5/19 – 6/17 9:00 am – 1:30 pm $600.
