The Lisbon Department of Economic and Community Development mission is to have one place for business and community needs to go for professional assistance.
Currently there are loan programs available to assist local business ventures as well as those that want to relocate and grow here. The Town of Lisbon has been a front-runner in obtaining and administering Loan programs for Housing, Business and Municipal Infrastructures. Some successful projects include funding and completion of the 80 unit Farwell Mill Complex, Dingley Press Credit Enhancement Program, the Lisbon IRP Program from Rural Development, Hubbard Mill purchase, the sale of the former Town Office Building to University of Maine Cooperative Extension. The new 90.000SF Furniture Super Store in Lisbon, the take over of the Eastland Shoe building by Rynel-Grotech, a company specializing planting meduim Coastal Product Company and First Choice Printing moving to 60 Capitaol Avenue, Floor Systems, Enterprise Electirc and the former A & B Florist Building. Watch for a new 100 acre Industrial Park.
