AVCOG is a non-profit regional planning and economic development agency, located in Auburn, which provides services to Androscoggin, Franklin and Oxford Counties. The purpose of AVCOG is to strengthen local government while combining resources to meet regional challenges beyond individual capacities; to serve as a mutual forum to identify, study, and bring into focus regional challenges and opportunities; and to address issues of local concern. The agency maintains three primary divisions Economic Development, Community Planning and Transportation.
