Maine Downtown Center
The Maine Downtown Center’s (MDC) core program is Main Street Maine, which uses the Main Street Four-Point Approach® for downtown revitalization developed by the National Trust for Historic Preservation. The Maine Downtown Network (MDN) is the sister-program to Main Street Maine that uses the same four points but at a lighter pace. The Maine Downtown Institute (MDI) provides training on how to tap assets to stimulate economic development downtown, save historic buildings, promote local businesses, and develop community leadership.
Use: The program and it's events are geared towards anyone interested in their community, downtowns, historic preservation, and/or volunteering; and businesses or organizations located in downtowns.
